FAQ
Is my resume, CV, or cover letter uploaded to a server?
No. Rezimo is 100% client-side. Your resume is edited in your browser and exported to a PDF with pdf-lib running locally — your legal name, address, and employment history never leave your device. There is no backend and no /api route. The site's Content-Security-Policy (connect-src 'self') even restricts which hosts the page may contact, so the privacy guarantee is enforced by the browser itself.
Are the PDFs actually ATS-friendly?
Yes. Rezimo draws your resume with real, selectable text — every name, heading, date, and bullet is a text element in the PDF, not a rasterised image. Applicant Tracking Systems parse text, so a selectable-text PDF is what gets you through automated screening. Both templates use a logical top-to-bottom reading order and standard fonts so names, dates, and bullets extract correctly.
What is the JSON Resume schema and why does it matter?
JSON Resume is an open standard for describing a resume as structured data (basics, work, education, skills, projects, and more). Rezimo uses it as its native format, so you can export your resume as a portable .json file, re-import it here or in any other JSON Resume tool, and never get locked in. The import/export is a lossless round-trip.
How many resume templates are included?
Two ATS-safe templates are free: Classic (a clean single-column layout) and Compact (a denser two-column layout with a contact and skills sidebar). Both produce a real selectable-text PDF. Rezimo Pro adds four more ATS templates, multi-variant resumes, a cover-letter library, DOCX export, a references page, and a one-click application PDF bundle — a one-time unlock, still 100% client-side.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After the first load the app shell is cached, so editing your resume, previewing it, exporting the PDF, and writing a cover letter all work with no internet connection. Install Rezimo as a PWA and it opens and runs offline.
Do you train AI on my CV?
Never. There is no AI in Rezimo and nothing is uploaded, so there is nothing to train on. Your career data stays on your device, full stop.
